Dear Patents, Teachers, Students and Viewers.

It is with great pride and honour I welcome you to the St. Patrick’s Academy, Alundur website. I begin my message with the quote of St. Francis of Assisi: “For it is in giving that we receive.” The above quote replicates the school moto ‘in giving we receive’. Through this moto SPA inspires teachers to give qualitative education to the students and in return make them to give their best to the society.

Education in its simplest meaning is not changing the world as we like it but by viewing the world in the way we like it. The purpose of education is not to bring grades in the academics of a student but to grade one’s life in the society. That’s why St. Patrick’s Academy, Alundur aims to educate the young minds to mould their world where they be the change that they always wish to see.

Deep down, every good teacher knows the impact and importance of education. It is not just about learning, reading, writing and arithmetic at school. Instead, formal education is about gaining the knowledge and the skills needed to become a better person and create a better society to live in.

A proper education sets people up to grow personally, professionally, and socially. It can awaken joy, curiosity and a deep desire to solve problems and help others. Plus, teaching a student can inspire them to pursue leadership roles and positively impact those around them. The idea of education at St. Patrick’s Academy is not completely oriented towards the academic growth of the students alone but to assist each student in their integrated growth to respect the individuality, dignity, ethos, and spiritual values. Thus, I would conclude with the words of Malcolm Forbes, “Education’s purpose is to replace an empty mind with an open one”. Thank you and may God bless you all.
